New website and IT infrastructure strengthen Cinekid
Cinekid is the film and media festival for children in the Netherlands, and an international platform for creators and professionals. Every year it attracts thousands of visitors. To keep growing, the organization needed a future-proof digital platform with self-service, an improved ticket flow, and optimized processes.

The challenge
The existing website and My Cinekid no longer matched the ambitions: broadcast-driven, outdated, and cumbersome. The ticketing and accreditation process was neither user- nor mobile-friendly, self-service was missing, and systems operated in silos. This led to errors, high costs, and frustration for visitors as well as staff.
The solution
We developed a digital strategy and delivered a new online environment that is conversion-focused, flexible, and user-friendly, with single sign-on and optimized customer journeys for parents, professionals, and schools.
The IT infrastructure was rebuilt with Craft CMS, Fiona Film Festival application, Active Tickets, and video platform De Container: scalable, secure, and fully integrated. Processes within Fiona Film Festival were optimized, and smart integrations now ensure more automation and efficient workflows. Self-service was also expanded within the renewed My Cinekid portal.
The result
Cinekid now has a scalable digital foundation that supports growth and serves its audiences better. The improved ticket flow drives sales for parents, schools, and professionals, resulting in higher conversion. The customer experience is enhanced with seamless journeys and error-free processing, both online and offline. Less manual work and reduced operational pressure lower costs, while self-service and more efficient processes bring speed and convenience.
